Meet Barbara

Welcome to God, Faith & Family Blog! I am Barbara Herbert Morris, the blessed wife of Marquel and mom of two amazing sons Marquel Jr and Malachi.  My husband and I met at Hallejuah Night and have been inseparable ever since. We are high school sweethearts and got married one year after graduating high school in October of 2007. The same year my mom was killed due to domestic violence in June of 2007, just a couple of months before our wedding. I am the founder of Mom’s Treasures, a nonprofit domestic violence organization whose mission is to mentor and provide children of domestic violence victims with the tools that they need to overcome tragedy and live a successful life.  I am also the owner of Divine Creations by B LLC, a t-shirt, women, and children’s accessories company. My husband and I also are owners of a transportation company QB & M Transports. I am also a church administrator, prayer intercessor, and minister at Word of Faith Christian Church in Baton Rouge, LA. I am currently enrolled at Walden University with a 4.0 GPA pursuing my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

 

I intentionally worship God because he has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams and brought me a mighty long way. I think about where I would be if it weren't for God and his grace, mercy, and favor he continues to give me. I am a child of God and a born-again Christian that loves God with all of my heart and will continue to say YES to God's way, thoughts, and plans for my life. I am thankful to God he saved me, delivered me, and has made me whole, healed, and complete. I am now walking in my purpose to intentionally help others walk in their purpose with no guilt or shame. ​

For years, I have served as a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. I finally decided to own that role, walk in my purpose, be intentional about it and let God use me to reach others for his glory. So, I started writing my first book about my experiences and my thoughts and founded my blog. I founded God, Faith & Family Blog with a mission to Encourage, Inspire and Uplift God's Children. It's a guide to Walking in Purpose Fully, which continually informs people that no matter what trials, tests, situations, or circumstances try to come up against you, you were created on purpose with a purpose. God has made you unstoppable and given you favor, anointing, power, authority, and strength to achieve anything that you put your mind to and work hard for.
