Are You Saved?
Romans 10:9-10
"(9) That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (10) For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
When someone hears the question, "Are You Saved" they may ask themselves what does that mean? Well, John 3:16 says For GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son so that anyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. GOD gave his only son Jesus to save us from sin and death. GOD sent Jesus into the world to die for our sins. Almost 2,000 years ago Jesus did the ultimate sacrifice for us.
JESUS PAID IT ALL!!!
The Jewish Pharisees and Sadducees watched as JESUS went against their position, demanding rituals, laws, and traditions and preached to massive crowds, healed so many people, and even brought people back to life. JESUS DID MIRACLES and he is still doing them today. They were even madder that Jesus was calling GOD his own father and making himself equal to GOD. JESUS said to know him was to know GOD. To see him was to see GOD. To believe in him was to believe in GOD. To receive him was to receive GOD. To hate him was to hate God. And to honor him was to honor GOD. They didn't like that and decided to get rid of JESUS and regain their authority among the people or so that's what they thought they were doing.
JESUS knew what was going to happen. He knew that they would crucify him. JESUS told his disciples that he was going to be arrested, beaten, and crucified. He also told them that three days after being buried he would come back to life. They nailed JESUS wrists and feet to a cross where he hung but before he died he said, "IT IS FINISHED" and died for our sins; to save us and accomplished something bigger than him. JESUS came into the world and took persecution, betrayal, and suffering for us. JESUS could have said NO because he had the power to chose. He could have stepped off that cross at any moment but he chose to fight for us and endure anguish for a moment. JESUS told his disciples at the last supper that his blood would be poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. JESUS didn't commit any sin but he paid for our sins on the cross.
JESUS CARRIED THE CROSS FOR US!!!
The only thing he asks for us to do in return is to believe in him because we could never repay him for what he endured for us. JESUS asks us to accept that he is our Lord and Personal Savior and believe that he died on the cross for our sins to save us. He wants us to accept the free gift of SALVATION. When we accept JESUS as our Lord and Personal Savior we also receive ETERNAL LIFE, The Promises, Yes and Amen,a blessed and fruitful and a close personal relationship and connection with him. So if you are not saved and have not accepted JESUS CHRIST into your life as your Lord and Personal Savior I challenge you today to take the leap, believe, and open your heart to receive JESUS. I guarantee that your life will never be the same and that you will experience a love like no other. The kind of love you will experience will be an agape love and unconditional love that forgives all sins. Salvation opens the door to the good life, a life of abundance and bounty which is what GOD promised in a land abounding in milk and honey.
