JESUS HAS RISEN, SO THAT YOU CAN RISE?
Matthew 28:5-6 KJV
[5] And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. [6] He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
Easter Sunday is one of the most festive events among Christians worldwide. It commemorates Jesus Christ’s resurrection from death. We have to remind ourselves why this day exist In the first place and why we get to celebrate like we do with family and friends. I know it’s a big deal every year and everyone is sooooo excited about Easter Sunday. Everyone gets dressed up in their Sunday’s best, goes shopping for Easter dinner, Easter baskets for the kids filled with candy, chocolate Easter bunnies and toys. Everyone plans big gatherings with family and friends with lots of good food, Easter egg hunts and so much more!
However, All of that is nice to be able to enjoy our families, eat good food, have a great time but Resurrection Sunday is most important not because of egg hunts, good food, big parties, Easter baskets it is important because JESUS DEFEATED DEATH AND DIED FOR OUR SINS AND SALVATION! That day exist because our God raised Jesus from the dead to save us from our sins, from doubts, negative thoughts, shame, guilt, the enemy, death and to give us love, Faith, power, authority, salvation, eternal life, grace, mercy, compassion, forgiveness, favor, the anointing and hope. If Jesus was not raised from the dead then our Faith would be useless and we would still be guilty of our sins! Everything If God didn’t raise Jesus from the dead How amazing it is that we are forgiven when doubt or do not trust God or not be obedient and do what God has told us to do concerning our lives.
Jesus had spoke of his resurrection on the cross before he died. He knew what was going to happen already. The enemy though that he defeated Jesus but God had a plan and the plan was set in motion when Jesus was betrayed and nailed to the cross. Thats why we remember the ultimate sacrifice created to human kind from sin.Jesus carried the cross for us! He paid it all for us! Jesus rose and got up so that we may be able to rise and get up after tragedy, challenges, trials and tests. When God raised Jesus from the dead he overcame death and he made a way for his children to not perish but have everlasting and eternal life! We have so much to thank God for and worship at his feet. Say it with me " Jesus did it just for me." Jesus took our place and defeated the enemy. Jesus showed us his love that this world can not match. God showed us his love for u, his power and authority through the resurrection of Jesus. He has proved that his is undefeatable and that we are undefeated.
HE IS RISEN IS A GREAT TESTAMENT TO THE SALVATION WE HAVE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST! He rose so that we might have life and have it more abundantly! Jesus reminds us in John 10:10 that he has come to give us life and give us life more abundantly. John 10:10 KJV The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Jesus Rose! So that we can be raised out of sin, out of poverty, out of sickness, out of depression, out of turmoil, and out of destruction. We are who we are because God poured out his special favor and anointing on us and not without results. When God made the ultimate sacrifice to give his one and only son Jesus he did it so that we would be victorious, successful, powerful, anointed, healed, set fee, favored and blessed.
IT IS CELEBRATION TIME! We are celebrating how amazing it is that God raised Jesus from the dead and defeated the devil and death. God showed the devil that even through death he would raise Jesus and give us salvation! Through the resurrection of Jesus we are given hope, Faith, salvation, and eternal life. Through Jesus our rock of salvation we are provided with the opportunity to be saved from our sins! Jesus' blood is our DNA! Which means because of everything he endured we receive benefits and an inheritance! We receive the benefits of eternal life, salvation, forgiveness, grace, mercy, favor, abundance, health and wealth. WE ARE WHO GOD SAYS WE ARE!
